Psalm 146:8

The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind:

the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down:

the LORD loveth the righteous:

Introduction:

Our eyes are a wonder and how wonderful it is to see, how beautiful and wonderful our good God has created us, God has given us eyes to see, but it is important that we use our eyes well, otherwise we will become visually impaired, or even spiritually blind.

2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

We must use our eyes for good things and not for evil, our eyes are the entrance to many things that feed us spiritually. We can defile ourselves and sin by looking at the wrong things with our eyes,

2 Peter 2:14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:

2 Peter 2:15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

or on the other hand, expose our eyes to the light and truth Jesus Christ the light of the world.

John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

In addition, we can also literally use our eyes incorrectly by looking incorrectly, such as; staring, excessive focusing, wrong nutrition and other things that worsen the eyes, in this short book I want to make you enthusiastic about training and maintaining your eyes, but also to step out of the darkness and turn your eyes on Jesus Christ the light of the world and the only way of salvation given by God to us all.

Luke 11:33 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.

Luke 11:34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.

Luke 11:35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.

Luke 11:36 If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

Turn your eyes

single upon

Jesus Christ

and you will

See

Matthew 17:8

And when they had lifted up their

eyes, they saw no man,

save Jesus only.

Paul talks about his conversion

Acts 26:12 Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests,

Acts 26:13 At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.

Acts 26:14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

Acts 26:15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.

Acts 26:16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;

Acts 26:17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,

Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

1 Corinthians 9:1 Am I not an apostle? am I not free? have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? are not ye my work in the Lord?

John 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

John 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Many self-righteous people think they see, but they are blind, blind to the truth they do not want to see, spiritually blind to the spiritual life.

Faith does not come from the things we see, God wants us to believe and have faith in His way of salvation given to us to reconcile us again with Him, the way of salvation is Jesus Christ and this belief is more than believing, it is faith, and faith means;

‘to put your trust in that what you believe’, you have put your faith in Jesus and have brought this to God in prayer, that you have faith that the blood of Jesus Christ is sufficient and has fully paid for your personal sins, you are then reconciled with God again, the breach has been repaired.

God gave His Son Jesus Christ to proof our hearts, to see whether we believe in ourselves and think we are self-righteous, or whether we dare to lower ourselves, and want to give God the glory and believe in His way of salvation Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ is the righteousness of God.

1 Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

1 Corinthians 1:19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

1 Corinthians 1:20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

1 Corinthians 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

1 Corinthians 1:22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

1 Corinthians 1:23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

1 Corinthians 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

1 Corinthians 1:25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

1 Corinthians 1:26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

1 Corinthians 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

1 Corinthians 1:28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

1 Corinthians 1:29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.

1 Corinthians 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

1 Corinthians 1:31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

‘by grace through faith’

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Ephesians 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

1 Peter 1:8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

1 Cortinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Exercises for the eyes

The exercises and information below are intended to encourage people to take good care of their eyes.

Palming

Place your palms on your eyes for 5 to 15 minutes every day. Palming is allowed as much and often as you want, according to your needs.

Palming gives the eyes rest.

The heat will relax the eyes and reduce fatigue, helping against dry eyes.

Eye training

Try to shift your focus during the day by looking at something up close and then far away.

When you look at a computer screen or read a book, occasionally look outside and shift your focus into the distance.

You get better vision by exercising, eyes are like a muscle, you can train them and keep them healthy by exercising.

You can also give your eyes some rest by listening to the King James Bible 1611 which is read on an MP3 player by Alexander Scourby, so you can close your eyes while listening. KJV 1611 Audio Bible By Alexander Scourby.

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Try to wink your eyes in a relaxed manner, and wink with great regularity, this is good for the eyes.

1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Try to look relaxed, even when the sun is shining, try not to frown but just let your eyelids fall down.

Jumping with the eyes

Jumping with the eyes is very healthy for the eyes, change your eyes again and again and jump to a new point you are looking at, even if it is only 1 cm away or next to it, it does not matter, the important thing is that you do not stare, but rather If you look at the environment around you by always looking at something different, jumping with the eyes is very good for keeping your eyes healthy and active. Staring is taboo and weakens your eyes. Jumping with the eyes keeps the eyes strong and active.

When you read a book or sit at the computer, occasionally look outside and shift your eyes, so you do not get lazy eyes that lose their focus and deteriorate in focusing.

Be careful with air conditioning, air conditioning makes the air ‘too’ dry, causing dehydration in the airways and eyes, etc. It is very unnatural.

Sleep in a dark room so that your eyes can rest better.

A very effective exercise to do daily is to hold something that is brightly colored and move it away from you and bring it closer again (trombone movement (tromboning)), you move this back and forth and you look at it with your eyes, this is how you train your eyes to shift focus.

Take a rope with a few red balls on it, they are at different distances from each other, look at the different balls, the first ball can be so close that you look cross-eyed, and the last one can be a few meters away.

Train yourself to be able to squint, this helps to gain good control over your eye muscles.

Seeing depth

Train your fusion, you have two eyes and together they must provide one image, you can train this.

Cover 1 eye and train the eyes separately, people often have 1 eye that works less well or an eye that switches itself off, which is why many people do not see depth, but; With the right exercises you can teach yourself to see depth again and to make your fusion work correctly. You can even train a lazy or cross-eyed eye to ‘hopefully’ become straight again by doing with that eye separate and joint eye exercises.

Discover whether you can see depth:

Hold 1 finger at a distance of 10 cm in front of your eyes and do not look at that finger but look into the distance. If you see 2 fingers, you are using 2 eyes. If you see 1 finger during this exercise, you are probably only using 1 eye and you are not seeing depth.

Prayer

Always ask God to help you and expect all strength from Him; For in him we live, and move, and have our being; including training your eyes and improving your health, ask God the Father in the name of your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Acts17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Is Jesus Christ not yet your Lord and Savior?

Sun and light

Close your eyes and relax, eyes also need sun to recover, the light has a healing effect.

Do not wear sunglasses, sunglasses block the absorption of vitamin and also block the signals to the body to absorb vitamins through the eyes and skin, in addition, sunglasses also block the signal to your body skin to protect your skin from the sun.

Ecclesiastes 11:7 Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun:

Malachi 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

Prophetically, this verse is about Jesus Christ the Sun of Righteousness, (Sun / Son). Jesus is the light of the world, and only He can save us and pay for our personal sins. The word Sun is capitalized to indicate that the verse is about more than just the sun, but also about the Sun, which is the Son, the Son of God.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

John 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

John 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

John 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Understand well, there are many sons of God in the Bible, and Israel is also called a son of God, but there is only one: his only begotten Son. God has only one begotten Son Jesus Christ born through a virgin to offer the way salvation to mankind.

Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Lighting / lamps

When you use lamps in your home when it is dark, use the right lamps. We have noticed that if you use Philips lamps, they provide a much calmer and nicer light than the average other lamp.

It has to do with the frequency, many lamps that you can buy have too low a refresh frequency of the light, causing it to flash, you cannot see this, it is just too fast for that, but you will unknowingly get tired of this, if you take a camera and (turn off the anti-flicker reduction if this is possible) and you set the shutter speed to 8000 or 16000th of a second, you will see the image flashing on the screen in the ‘live view modes’, you will then see that many lamps are not good and flash, the special thing is that with a Philips lamp you do not have this problem, even at 16000 refreshments per second. That is partly why these lamps are so fine.

The color temperature of the light also partly determines the rest for the eyes and Philips lamps have a nice color temperature of usually 2700 Kelvin, where you can work comfortably with.

It is also nice if the lamp has a CRI of at least 80 or higher.
This says something about how real the colors are that you see, the higher the CRI, the more real the colors, the sun in daylight is 100% CRI.

Philips lamps have a CRI of 80 and some 90 and this is fine, there are lamps that go even higher, but I am not sure whether these are also good in terms of flickering / the refresh frequency.

We are very enthusiastic about the Philips lamps.

Please note that the logo is present on the packaging of ‘Eye Comfort’. This means that the lamp is easy on the eyes.

‘Eye Comfort’ (oogkomfoor)

Monitor / computer screen

When you sit behind a computer, PC or laptop, always turn on a lamp, make sure you never sit in a dark room, and even better is a lamp behind the screen, this gives rest for the eyes.

Glasses

Try to avoid or reduce wearing glasses, the more you wear glasses, the lazier the eyes become, the eyes get used to the correction of the glasses and in many cases you are then further away from home. If you wear glasses, try to look without glasses more often, challenge your eyes.

Food

Eyes must be used in the right way to keep them in good condition and a healthy diet is also very important. And by that I mean consuming lots of healthy animal fats. Bone broths, grass-fed meat with a lot of fat, grass-fed butter, raw milk dairy products, Celtic sea salt, sourdough leavened bread, fatty fish from wild catch, etc.

Books

The Book of Natural Seeing; Natuurlijk Zien.

www.natuurlijkzien.nl (Bates method)

And also a book for children and adults and fun exercises:

How to improve your child’s eyesight naturally,

A thoughtful parent’s guide, Janet Goodrich.

You can also help children with bad eyesight, a lot can be done with exercises, but from me a tip, do not put too much pressure, children should only do exercises if they like it and enjoy it, children link bad or good experiences to the eyes, this can influence how they develop their eyes.

For example, if a child sometimes looks lazy, this may have to do with tension in the body, both physically and emotionally. Try to make the exercises as fun as possible. If the child likes it, they will enjoy using their eyes and do the exercises, if the exercises are not a pleasant experience or are compulsive, they will stop looking properly and react negatively and not do their best, the eye will even do worse.

Tension in the body can be related to incorrectly looking eyes and can be resolved by massages of the back, head, neck and feet.

You can also simply make children enthusiastic by doing the exercises with, for example, a few raw nuts. Break the nuts into small pieces and do the eye exercises with them and give them a piece of nut when they have done it right.

It may not sound necessary, but it is works very well and children are then very motivated, especially young children because they sometimes do not understand the point of the exercise and their attention span is otherwise very low and short, and sometimes you do not want to explain the point of the exercise to maximize the fun to make the exercise, then it is just a fun game and not a must.

It is special because I have good eyes and after I bought these books by ‘Natural Seeing’ and Janet Goodrich to study, I discovered that I was already doing many of the exercises myself. That might explain the good vision I still have.

The exercises are also good if you still have good eyesight, so you can hopefully prevent deterioration or slow down the deterioration of the eyes, and even improve if you do your best.

For even more depth about eye training, I recommend you read the books. You can really improve your eyes and keep them healthy.
